Paris, November 26 to 28, 2018- From November 26 to 28, 2018, the 4th edition of the Climate Finance Day and the Round Table of UNEP FI (United Nations Environmental Program Finance Division) took place in Paris, France. The event was organized in the Broignart Palace (headquarters of the Paris Stock Exchange) for “Finance for Tomorrow” (Finance for Tomorrow) which is an initiative led by Paris EUROPLACE and the actors of the Paris Financial Center to promote sustainable finance internationally. This contributes to a shift in financial flows towards a lower carbon and inclusive economy, in line with the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). GENESIS was present through its director Alejandra Cámara.
UNEP FI and Finance for Tomorrow have co-organized their two flagship events, and together they become the largest global event in 2018 dedicated to mobilizing the financial sector to show solutions, explore successful policies and make new commitments to increase ecology and sustainability . The Climate Funding Day and the Global Roundtable event brought together more than 1,000 high-level representatives from the financial industry, regulatory authorities, corporations and civil society.
