On November 6th, Argentina celebrates National Parks Day.
In 1903, explorer Francisco “Perito” Moreno donated a large portion of land to the National State 🇦🇷 with the purpose of protecting it and preserving its natural state.
🐏 This territory later became Nahuel Huapi National Park, laying the foundation for the creation of the National Parks System.
Today, Argentina has 39 National Parks, encompassing a wide diversity of ecosystems and playing a key role in the protection of biodiversity.
