It brought together 34 participants<br \/>\nrepresenting companies, financial institutions, civil society, international<br \/>\norganisations, industry associations, research institutions<br \/>\nand financial regulators.<br \/>\nThe consultation aimed to lay out the general rationale and<br \/>\nconcept for the WBA, as well as explore the following strategic<br \/>\nquestions:<br \/>\n\u2022 How are companies in Latin America integrating<br \/>\nsustainability and the SDGs into their business?<br \/>\n\u2022 How can corporate SDG benchmarks be designed<br \/>\nto ensure they create value for stakeholders as well<br \/>\nas the companies being assessed?<br \/>\n\u2022 What are the important intersections between<br \/>\nindustries and the SDGs in Latin America?<\/p>\n<p>To build relationships and promote open dialogue between different<br \/>\nstakeholder groups, the above issues were explored in two ways. The<br \/>\nfirst consisted of discussions in small groups, enabling participants<br \/>\nto have in-depth conversations with peers in their areas of primary<br \/>\ninterest as well as meet and share views with participants from other<br \/>\nsectors.
