Biovalor Project<\/p>\n
The Biovalor project is a project of the Uruguayan government that articulates and is executed by three ministries<\/p>\n
\u2022 The Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining ;<\/p>\n
\u2022 The Ministry of Housing, Spatial Planning and Environment;<\/p>\n
\u2022 The Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries.<\/p>\n
It is co-funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF), as well as by public and private agencies. The Agency implementing the project is the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).<\/p>\n
It is a 4-year project whose main objective is the transformation of waste generated from agricultural, agroindustrial and small population centers, turning them into energy and \/ or by-products, in order to develop a sustainable model of low emissions (Contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gases – GHG), through the development and transfer of adequate technologies.<\/p>\n
